We all know that it is easier to walk downhill than to climb up. However, there is a very strange slope in China that will prove you wrong!
The Magic Slope or Guai Po (guài pō 怪坡) is a mysterious, yet fun experience! All the vehicles will go upwards along the slope automatically when shutting off the engine. Some say the phenomenon is due to magnetic fields, others think it is an optical illusion. There are many versions and all quite contradictory.
Shenyang Guai Po was found by a driver in 1990. He parked his car on the side of the road and found the car moving towards the top on its own. The car didn’t stop until the wheel was blocked by a stone. The driver could not believe his eyes! Nowadays, Guai Po became a national tourist attraction!
The Magic Slope looks like two fenced-in bike paths surrounded by a driveway. It is more than 80 meters long and 15 meters wide. The Magic Slope has been developed into a scenic area with more than 20 places of interest.

When to visit
I have been there in September but you can combine your visit with the Acacia Flower Festival that takes place there every May or the Pengen Temple Fair (鹏恩寺庙会)
