Sweet Madrid: a must-stop for some churros

Churros (and porros) are deep-fried batons of dough that are served with a thick hot chocolate drink that serves as a dipping sauce.

It is a very typical dessert in Spain and, if you are going to try them, then Chocolateria San Gines is the place to come!

San Gines is the oldest and the most famous spot for churros in Madrid. Still standing strong since 1894, not only is it a must-see tourist spot, but it’s also delicious.

Despite that it is a well-known spot, it is tucked down a tiny side street and not easy to find!
