A weekend in Paris is a great source of inspiration!
The impressive atmosphere and unique architecture of the city encouraged me to learn more about French romanticism and women’s role in developing it. The era of romanticism opened the way for female writers.
Germaine de Staël was the first to protect women rights and freedoms, accusing society of hypocritical morality in her works: ” Delphine” and ” Corinne, ou l’Italie”.
Aurora Dudevant (known as George Sand) advocated for women’s emancipation. Her ideas of a free spirited personality were emphasized in her novels “Horace”,“The Journeyman Joiner”, “Consuelo”.
