7. Vlkan Swim
Vlkan Swim is a sustainable luxury swimwear brand that’s inspired by Costa Rica’s nature, made in Bali, and based in Geneva, Switzerland. The company’s mission is to embrace women’s natural bodies and create a body positive environment.
In 2020 Vlkan Swim donated 10% of total sales to the protection and preservation of coastlines and marine life in Costa Rica. This involves beach clean ups, local empowerment and restoration of coral reefs.
Vlkan Swim promotes slow and sustainable consumption by offering high quality and ethically made swimwear. Once you no longer use your bikini, it can be returned back to the regeneration process.
Swimwear is packaged in a reusable cotton bag together with a “thank you” card encrusted with honey flower seeds. When these eco-cards are planted, pretty flowers bloom!

VOLANS was created in Zurich by a mother-daughter team and now has “over 40 years of experience in designing swimwear of the best quality. The special cut ensures an ideal fit and perfect support. High-quality fabrics with shape properties model the body silhouette and give it a wonderful line”.

LANASIA was founded in 2018 by two sisters as a sibling start-up. The mission of the brand is to prove that sustainability is sexy. “Sexyness is not limited to an external appearance, it is an inner attitude. Developing environmentally friendly consumer behavior, taking responsibility and creating a conscious attitude is the art of being sexy!”
The company uses pollutant-free and recycled ECONYL® or REPREVE® fabrics for all LANASIA collections of sustainable swimwear, beach and fitness fashion.
10. PURA clothing
PURA clothing is an ethical Swiss swimwear and clothing brand founded in 2016. Company goal “is not only to create a bikini and sportswear line which is perfect in style and in fit but also to create pieces which are fairly produced and environmentally sustainable. All the fabrics are sourced from Italy and all of the pieces are made by hand in Switzerland and Italy. There is no air travel involved in any of the company processes.”
